TIFF: The Deep Blue Sea (2011)

September 11, 2011:

Tom Hiddleston and Rachel Weisz took to the Toronto International Film Festical for the world premiere of The Deep Blue Sea.  This was Tom's first appearance at TIFF.

Tom Hiddleston and Rachel Weisz were photographed by Matt Carr in the Guess Portrait Studio

Tom and Rachel photographed by Jake Chessum.

For the red carpet premiere, Tom and Rachel were joined by directed Terence Davies.

There's a very low quality video of the post-premiere Q&A. Tom on what attracted him to the role of Freddie Page: (the screenplay) was just incredibly powerful on the page, as powerful as I think it is on film. Everything that he says about the true nature of love and its complexity, and the many faces of feeling, and the human heart just seemed to jump out at me. I hadn't done that on film yet... it was an easy yes.

Tom also sat down for several press interviews where he talks The Deep Blue Sea, working with Steven Spielberg, Loki, and more. (He does his signature laugh so many times here).  You can also watch interviews with Collider (Part 1, Part 2) and Steven Holt (Part 1, Part 2).

Part 2.
