all the women who thought they were Mad Opening Night (2019)

October 27, 2019:

Actress-author-playwright Zawe Ashton added another entry to her resume with the opening of her first off-Broadway play, for all the women who thought they were Mad. The play is being showcased simultaneous at the Soho Rep Theatre in New York and at the Stoke Newington Town Hall in London.

for all the women who thought they were Mad is a journey through the everyday pressure, racism, and prejudice Black women face - specifically as it relates to mental health and healthcare. The Off-Broadway production is directed by Whitney White and features Stephanie Berry, Gibson Frazier, Sharon Hope, Nicole Lewis, Blasina Olowe, Cherene Snow, Bisserat Tseggai, Shay Vawn, and Kat Williams.

Charlie Cox and Tom Hiddleston were first in line to celebrate with their Betrayal Broadway co-star/friend/wife/not-so-secret affair partner.

Zawe's talents as a writer would come as no surprise to Tom and Charlie because the trio first worked together in 2010 on The Children's Monologues where Zawe served as a writer.

They also spent time with the young actresses (Blasina Olowe and Kat Williams) and their families.

Kat's sister, Ella Karuna Williams, posted a beautiful message about Tom.

"... really enjoyed meeting the cast of @betrayalbwy !! It was truly amazing meeting you @twhiddleston and Charlie Cox!! And to Mr. Hiddleston, thank you for taking time to talk to me and to give such great acting advice! I am very inspired!"

for all the women who thought they were Mad is playing through November 24, 2019. You can order tickets here

Fashion:

Tom Hiddleston brought back his Ralph Lauren Gregory suit first seen at Wimbledon earlier this year. Sadly, he left his Tennis Club tie at home.
