Betrayal Broadway: Halloween Edition (2019)

October 30, 2019:

When there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call?

Three days ago, Tom Hiddleston posted a video teasing a special surprise for Halloween eve.

Zawe Ashton took over the Betrayal Broadway Instagram page to post even more hints the night of the show. You can hear Director Hiddleston in the background.

What was the surprise? A Marvelous costume party at the Stage Door. Many peopl  correctly guessed that Tom and Charlie would do a character swap.

The heroes we deserve.

There was a costume contest for the fans. Who won? Tom Hiddleston! The lucky winner was able to get her picture taken with the cast.

Young actress Emma Lyles, who plays Robert and Emma's daughter in the play, posted a picture with her Mom and Dad. As well as with Charlie and Eddie.

Charlie is so sweet.

Fashion:

I will try to track down the costumes they wore but until then you can always purchase the Save Daredevil t-shirt Zawe is wearing.. because SAVE DAREDEVIL

all the women who thought they were Mad Opening Night (2019)

October 27, 2019:

Actress-author-playwright Zawe Ashton added another entry to her resume with the opening of her first off-Broadway play, for all the women who thought they were Mad. The play is being showcased simultaneous at the Soho Rep Theatre in New York and at the Stoke Newington Town Hall in London.

for all the women who thought they were Mad is a journey through the everyday pressure, racism, and prejudice Black women face - specifically as it relates to mental health and healthcare. The Off-Broadway production is directed by Whitney White and features Stephanie Berry, Gibson Frazier, Sharon Hope, Nicole Lewis, Blasina Olowe, Cherene Snow, Bisserat Tseggai, Shay Vawn, and Kat Williams.

Charlie Cox and Tom Hiddleston were first in line to celebrate with their Betrayal Broadway co-star/friend/wife/not-so-secret affair partner.

Zawe's talents as a writer would come as no surprise to Tom and Charlie because the trio first worked together in 2010 on The Children's Monologues where Zawe served as a writer.

They also spent time with the young actresses (Blasina Olowe and Kat Williams) and their families.

Kat's sister, Ella Karuna Williams, posted a beautiful message about Tom.

"... really enjoyed meeting the cast of @betrayalbwy !! It was truly amazing meeting you @twhiddleston and Charlie Cox!! And to Mr. Hiddleston, thank you for taking time to talk to me and to give such great acting advice! I am very inspired!"

for all the women who thought they were Mad is playing through November 24, 2019. You can order tickets here

Marvel Celebrates Stan Lee (2019)

October 7, 2019:

The Earth's mightiest heroes - and an Asgardian/Jotunheim Villain/Antihero - joined forces at the New Amsterdam Theatre to celebrate the life and work of Stan Lee. Stan Lee, one of the co-creators of Marvel, passed away last November. Lee was born in New York City and Marvel Comics still has it's headquarters there so it was a fitting location.

The list of speakers included actors Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Ming-na Wen (Agent May), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), and Paul Bettany (Jarvis/Vision), as well as writers/artist Joe Quesada, Gerry Conway, Tom McFarlane, and Eve L. Ewing.

Tom spoke on Stan The Star. And jokes about his numerous - and infamous - cameos.

Although not included on the program, Charlie Cox (Daredevil) also took part in the tribute.

Slave Play Broadway Opening Night (2019)

October 6, 2019:

So after a busy week with NYCC and Betrayal Broadway you'd think Tom Hiddleston would want to go home and get some rest? Nope. Tom headed to the Opening Night of Slave Play at the Golden Theatre in New York City.

He didn't have very far to go since the Golden Theatre is directly next door to the Jacobs Theatre.

You can actually see a part of the marquee for Betrayal Broadway in the press line. (vnina)

There was a brief red carpet interview with BroadwayWorld where they talk about the "community of Broadway".

Tom with Slave Play director Robert O'Hara.

Tom also posed with former, Avengers, co-star Clark Gregg. Coulson seems to have gotten over that whole Loki trying to kill him business.

Some other famous faces included Betrayal Broadway co-star Zawe Ashton and Rachel Brosnahah.

And Jake Gyllenhaal. Only two months ago, Tom also attended the Opening Night for Jake and Tom Sturridge's play. Sea Wall / A Life became the first show of the 2019 Broadway season to recoup it's initial investment.

The Old South lives on at the MacGregor Plantation - in the breeze, in the cotton fields...and in the crack of the whip. Nothing is as it seems, and yet everything is at it seems. Slave Play rips apart history to shed new light on the nexus of race, gender, and sexuality in 21st-century America.

Slave Play runs through January 5, 2020. You can buy tickets here

New York Comic Con (2019)

October 3-4, 2019:

HiddlesCon returns! Tom Hiddleston was a late-addition to the New York Comic Con Thursday and Friday line-up. Thursday and Friday are generally the slower days in Con-land but NYCC brought out the big guns this year with Tom, Paul Rudd, Ryan Reynolds, and more.

Tom previously attended NYCC in 2011 with The Avengers. New York Comic Con will always have a special place in Hiddles-lore thanks to one very important twitter tweet

It also gave us this gem. We feel you Chris.

There are no panels scheduled this time around but Tom Hiddleston's schedule this week is still bananas. He's doing six straight hours of photo-ops and autographs, just to immediately head across town to perform for hundreds more fans in Betrayal Broadway.

Here's a look at Tom's Thursday and Friday schedules.

And his Betrayal Broadway schedule for the week.

Tom just took a DNA test. Turns out he's 100%... not human.

We didn't get a twitter tweet but Tom did post to Instagram from backstage at Betrayal Broadway. Even after meeting hundreds of fans at NYCC, Tom still went out in the freezing cold and pouring rain to meet more fans at the Stage Door. I don't think it's been said enough so I'll say it again - and again for the people in the back - there's not a single actor out there who does more for his fans.

Here's our picture:

Hiddles FC! In keeping with the tradition of showing love to some of Tom's lesser known work (*cough* I Saw the Light *cough*). Me and the minion decided to rep Early Man for our photo op. Early Man is my minion's favorite movie. He can quote every line by heart. He has the Early Man soccer ball. He has the Early Man posters. He even joined a soccer team. We go hard for Early Man at the Hiddlesfashion household.

brb crying because of how big my not-so-little man has gotten. How was Wizard World only three years ago? He can fit into the shirt that I was wearing now.

*I will say that the staff at NYCC are amazing. They are very helpful and patient. NYCC does have a lot of accessible features for people with mobility issues and health conditions...but it is not a very fun place to be if you have vision issues. We spent 95% of our time there just trying to figure out where something was. We finally gave up and just went back home.

Zimbio gave us a good individual look at the Hiddleston Home Kit.

I've had a lot of questions about the boots. I spoke with the Aquatalia team. Unfortunately, as of now they have no current plans to put the ACE boot back into production. Also, even though it's the same style shoe, it's not the same physical shoe. There have been many different shoes. Just as there has been many different blue jumpers/sweaters and jeans.
